LEARNZ our water

Hi  Today I watched a video with the Batten team. So people talked to use about the water in Canterbury. People from schools asked questions and the people on the video would answer them. Someone asked does the groundwater ever run out. Then the scientists said no the groundwater does not run out.Its because the groundwater goes down in to  the ground and a pipe goes down to suck so that we can get water to drink and use for gardens but you cannot use too much a day so we can save water for other times.Once the video said that  a river had been looked after very well. The rubbish that had been removed more plant were planted to make more shade and over hangs and then a fence was put in when all the new stuff got moved in. They said it looked great and all creatures living in it would love it. They had some really good stuff to talk about I loved it. It's a great thing to go on it will teach you quite a lot.

Hello I had a great day on march the 7th,we went to heathcote river. We all had such a exciting day.We went to look at eels and look at what is going on with the river. We got it tuch eels, catch little fish,Find cute little bugs that eels eat and make an eels with natcher. It was awesome. We went to five sessions. My favourite session was make something made of nature about the urban eels.I got in a group with my friends Lola, Molly and Eilish. We thought of making a river with a garden but that was too hard so we made an eel. It was made out of grass with flowers for the fin and we made It a longfin eel.We had rubbish all around it to show what people are doing to eels. After the other sessions we had to walk back to school. That was a great day. thank you.
