being a refuge

Image
H e l l o   e v e r y o n e We were little refuges yesterday. It's because we were learning about South Sudan so we were going to make a campsite at  our school and then get in to groups and make a house like they would but with cardboard. My group was with both of my friends Lola and Molly we had so much fun. The first thing we did was to get the boxes you need so me, Lola and Molly all graded the box my mum brought. In it was a big white box and we also graded some mitre ten boxes, they were small but we still used them.It was quite hard but we got there. Then it was morning tea so we had to leave the huts but then we went back and our hut fell over  so we had to build it again. Then we finished cleaning it up and fixing it up so we had a look inside and it was awesome so we decided to add some detail to it. So we made some windows on each side and one window had some string holding it up so fresh air went in to the house. There was a little doo...

LEARNZ our water

Image
Hi  Today I watched a video with the Batten team. So people talked to use about the water in Canterbury. People from schools asked questions and the people on the video would answer them. Someone asked does the groundwater ever run out. Then the scientists said no the groundwater does not run out.Its because the groundwater goes down in to  the ground and a pipe goes down to suck so that we can get water to drink and use for gardens but you cannot use too much a day so we can save water for other times.Once the video said that  a river had been looked after very well. The rubbish that had been removed more plant were planted to make more shade and over hangs and then a fence was put in when all the new stuff got moved in. They said it looked great and all creatures living in it would love it. They had some really good stuff to talk about I loved it. It's a great thing to go on it will teach you quite a lot.            ...
